Opportunity Center

This program is funded through a contract with South Central Louisiana Human Services Authority (SCLHSA) and is a drop-in center for individuals with mental illness. The center is open Monday through Friday from 10:00am to 3:00pm and stays open unitl 7:00pm on Wednesdays. Social, recreational, and educationa activities are offered daily. Participants may choose to relax, watch television, talk to friends, play games, use available computers and internet access, or read books from our resource library. Books and movies may be checked out.  Resources on brain disease and mental illness are available at the Opportunity Center through partnerships with the Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government and National Alliance for the Mentally Ill, Terrebonne Chapter (NAMI-Terrebonne). There are no requirements or fee for attendance and participation. A hot lunch is available daily to members for $1.00.  Lunch is also available to visitors for $1.00.  For lunch, please call 985 979-3966 in advance to ensure that enough will be made. (Capacity: Program can accommodate up 100 participants daily)
